Description of contents
A collection of works by architect Waro Kishi, who continues the modernist tradition.
Introduces 39 carefully selected works, from numerous representative works to large projects currently in progress overseas, illustrated by abundant visuals. In the preface, the author relates in his own words the hands-on experience gained through 14 of his celebrated architectural works. An essay by Kyoto University Emeritus Professor Yasuo Takahashi, who established the author’s place in architectural history, is included at the end of the book. Kishi established his own identity in the historical city of Kyoto, and the volume allows us to review the whole picture of his work from many different angles.
